Teapot Fabric

My housemate Cazz got me a square of this excellent teapot fabric from The Brighton Sewing Centre. It was so amazing I had to go back and buy a metre of the stuff! But what to make with it? Hmmmm....

Rob Ryan and the Columbia Flower Market

Today Tom was off Go Karting with some friends, so I had decided to venture down to Columbia Road to the Rob Ryan shop. As I've mentioned before, I love Rob Ryan and was excited to find out he had a shop in London! I hadn't realised it was actually in the middle of the flower market! Such a fabulous atmosphere and on such a beautiful sunny day!

Of course I had to buy something (or some 'things') and opted for one his fabulous books 'This is for you':

I couldn't really justify a mug or one of his exquisite tiles so instead opted for an amazing teatowel. It's far too beautiful to use, so i plan to frame it instead!

After my visit to my current mecca i decided to have a wander around columbia road. There are so many beautiful shops; I could have spent a fortune. I then happened across a stunning fabric shop called Beyond Fabrics

I found some gorgeous fat quarters for £3.75 and had to buy them:

I was also a bit naughty and bought a few corsage making things. A plastic guider to make it easier to make them, and a corsage set - purely because I can then copy the pattern and adapt to make my own. They will undoubtedly never be as good as my friend Abbey's over at Doll Doll Dolly!

A lovely day; but I think it's obvious why I never have any money! Will be spending a cosy evening in with my cross stitch and a terrible movie. Heaven.

Fabric Addict

I've gone fabric mad over the last couple of days! I just keep hitting the buy button! It started several days ago when I discovered The Dainty Squid was selling some of her beautiful collection off on her etsy site.  So I just had to buy these!!!

Of course this is coming from America so will take ages, so I headed over to my favourite online fabric shop Fabric Rehab (seriously, the fabrics are just gorgeous and the design of the website is just perfect....so easy to navigate!) Their sale page had several FQ for only £1.99!!! How could I resist!

And this one has elephants on it. What more do you want me to say?!

I then went into the Brighton Sewing Centre after work to pick up some elastic. Sadly they were out of the size I needed, and I somehow ended up buying some more sale fabrics....a purple floral and a black and white polka dot FQ (I'm too lazy to go take a photo right now, but trust me...they are stunning). 

I also ended up bidding (and winning) on this gorgeous Alexander Henry fabric on Fabric Yard's ebay:

Oh my! It's lovely! I cannot wait to get that through the post!

And of course, I've also got the fabric swap organised by Bluebell & Rosie. My swap partner is Katy from Miss Pixie's Crafts so I'm excited to get a surprise in the post! I've just packaged up her fabric to send off tomorrow! Hopefully I've made good choices!
